Listed below is a description of shower doors that we sell and install for our clients here in Houston, TX and surrounding areas.

Shower Enclosures 3 Major Categories:

Framed Shower Doors:

With this style we can either use a slider or glass door. The framed shower door has metal surrounding the exposed edges of glass- thus creating a "frame" similar to a picture frame. Glass being used is typically 3/16" thick.

Frameless Shower Doors:

Are usually constructed of either 3/8" or 1/2" glass. They are normally made as a door but may also be available as a sliding door. These enclosures are generally configured as a door system, however they are also available as sliding door systems when used in conjunction with a header

Semi Frameless Shower:

Are available with a slider or a pivot door as an option. As with any sliding glass there will be metal rails at both the top and bottom to guide the glass. The glass used in a semi frameless door is either 1/4" or 3/8"- pivot doors use 1/4" glass only.

*Please note: As with any sliding doors a frame would be needed to guide the glass smoothly.
